When
selecting an intercom system there are two
types of systems; the centralized intercom
system, where you can select the function or
each station from one convenient location,
like the kitchen or family room; or a
de-centralized intercom system, where the
"mode" the station is in is controlled from
that station.
There is
also a choice of intercom only, radio or
music intercom, which includes CD, tape,
DVD, satellite, MP3, IPod, computer and
internet sources for playback through your
intercom system.
You will
want to decide which rooms to put an
intercom station in, and which rooms you
will want only music or only to be monitored
(like a nursery or garage). Patios are a
great choice because you will be able to
monitor the baby's room, or hear the door
chime, answer the door or make a call
inside.
